What drew me there was the $1.99 bubble tea special posted outside. But I end up getting something else since I was not in a mood for black tea, which is what the $1.99 deal was for. I got a large taro milk tea with tapioca pearls. It was pretty. I'm so used to paying NYC Chinatown prices that handing over $5+ for one order of bubble tea broke my heart. The worse part is that I didn't think it was worth the money. I can't explain it, but it just wasn't great. The only plus side is that they give lots of tapioca pearls. Which they should considering it's an extra charge to have tapioca pearls in your tea.
The layout of this place is interesting. The Tea Shop is stationed right at the entrance before the staircase that leads you down to a pool hall. If a group of 5 people or more come in, be careful where you stand cause you could be backing up towards the stairs.
The two girls behind the counter were friendly.I definitely would give other bubble tea places a try before coming back here again.
