rev:text	BEWARE. IT'S ALL A BAIT-AND-SWITCH SCAM!! Their heavily advertised "half price" sale ended yesterday. I bundled up the family and went to the MLK store yesterday. I expected to be assaulted by sales people upon entry, but to my surprise there were none there. That's how busy they were, probably as a result to people wanting to take advantage of the half price sale. As I headed towards the bedroom furniture I looked at price tags on other items. they were clearly labeled to indicate that the price in the yellow part of the tag was the 50% price. But those prices all seemed very high. So I deviated to the dining room table area because I had bought a table there in January. The "half price" was $499.99, which is exactly what I paid 3 months ago. The $499.99 had been the "regular" price3 months ago, and there had NOT been a half price sale at that time. So after some hunting I found a salesman and asked him to explain a price tag on whatever piece of furniture was near us. He said that the price in the yellow area was indeed the "half price." I told him about the table, that had the exact same price as 3 months ago, so it clearly was not half off. He kept repeating that the yellow price was indeed half off the usual price. I said if that was so, then it meant that if I came back tomorrow, when the sale was over, then the item would be priced as double whatever the yellow price said today. He seemed flustered at trying to explain to a stupid woman that the yellow price was half off, and did not mention my example of the table. When I said that this "sale" was just a bait-and-switch" he proclaimed that "we don't do that!" I said that is exactly what Walker was doing. He said, "I just work here" and rushed off. My husband and I went to the sales desk and asked to speak with a manager. They immediately paged one. After a while and no manager had shown up, they paged again. Eventually we just left because we had to pick up a child from school and no manager ever came over to speak to us. BEWARE of Walker's. They are dishonest.
