  • I got back to Pittsburgh after a month away in December. I came home to find a pipe that had frozen and broken, and my basement was almost flooded. I called Fagnelli on a Sunday morning and they were at my house within a couple hours. I thought everything was going great... until they quoted me $600 for replacing a pressure regulator on top of the $90 fee to come look at the problem. I thought that ridiculously high and decided to live with the leaking pipe until I could get a second opinion on Monday morning. Well, my second opinion was much better, $145 for a diagnostic evaluation, part, and labor. It was all fixed in 1 hour. Thanks to the other plumber with a much more reasonable price. Its been a week and no leaks or problems! I thought the exorbitant amount quoted by Fagnelli was due to calling on a Sunday, but when I talked to them on Monday morning, the price wasn't any lower. Today I checked my credit card and to my dismay, Fagnelli double charged my card! $180 for all that overpriced grief? Ugh! Now I get to call them back first thing next week and deal with them some more.
