| - A brief rundown of my dealings with SimonMed on E. Flamingo.
Almost two weeks ago, I made an appointment for an MRI and requested a call back for co-pay amount, only to discovered no one even called it into my insurance company and that my appointment had to be canceled until an auth code was received. I requested that the person in the authorization dept., contact my insurance while I hold on the phone, she came back and said it would take an additional three days to get an auth code. So, I waited three days but no call, I then called only to discover no one called my insurance company AGAIN. I requested to speak with a manager of the auth dept., she promised she would call me herself the following week with an update and an appointment would be made at that time. Since, I did not hear from her or anyone four days later (excluding the weekend), I called only to discover "they still had not received the auth code". This was not true because I confirmed with my insurance and doctors office that the auth code was sent several times. My experience with SimonMed was a case of the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing and no body going the extra effort when there an issue or even just doing their job duties! If I had not called to get an updated, I would still be waiting for a call for an appointment. Needless to say, I got tired of all the run around and made an appointment with another imaging company. They must have customers coming out of their ears and not needing new business??? If that's the case, I would say to SimonMed, "You should treat those customers well, cause you might not have any new business soon".
