| - We were delighted when we found out about A-mart since it was closer to where we live. It's cleaner and more organized than E-Mart and Arirang, but the prices on most of their items are way higher than their 2 competitors.
They have a good selection of veggies that you normally use for korean dishes and their pre-made side dish corner is great as well. I have tried their Kimchi and raw squid with spicy sauce, and they were good. They also have some snacks, frozen goods, and candies that both E-Mart and Arirang do not carry, which is nice.
The service is okay, most of the employees stocking the shelves don't ask if you need anything, even when you seem like you're lost or looking for something you couldn't find. Their cashiers are pretty quick even though I have only seen one till open, mind you, it's never busy when we visit. There has only been 5-7 people at most whenever we came for groceries.
Overall, A-mart is a good korean grocery store closer to people living in the SE, but just keep an eye on the prices and wait for sales for your favorite items.
