  • As a visitor to Manchester I was looking for something to entertain my 18 month old daughter for the day. This was absolutely perfect. We both loved the exhibits, the hands on activities and the lovely welcoming feel of the museum. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly and the facilities were very good. The museum was really accessible and I had no problem with my buggy. The food in the cafe looked delicious but I only had time to sample the coffee and a homemade cake. The cafe offers a "ration bag" for kids where they can pick five items. The options were good and fresh, healthy food was available. (my daughter picked a sandwich, some fruit, cherry tomatoes, a yoghurt and some chocolate buttons which she munched on happily). The highlight for my girl (except for the chocolate buttons) was the family room which is exceptionally well equipped with toys, books, colouring in and craft supplies. All things considered we had a great day out and I would highly recommend visiting IWMN.
