| - I've been meaning to try OneZo every since I saw it on Insta. They market themselves with freshly made tapioca and the drinks look enticing w/ all the different colors. There were several flavors of tapioca available, including caramel, mango, cactus, taro, sesame etc. Some drinks came w/ tapioca, whereas for others, you have to pay extra. I decided on the regular sized taro milk tea w/ taro tapioca as there was a 10% discount at the time.
I quite enjoyed their tapioca. You could tell that it's freshly made as it was very soft yet chewy at the same time. The texture is comparable to the glutinous rice balls in Chinese desserts. But the flavor was not that strong, and the tea itself was nothing to write home about. Yes, I could taste the taro, but it was diluted & somewhat watery despite ordering it w/ less ice. And 25% sugar was already sweet enough; I usually get 50% at other bbt places. At this price point ($6+), I don't think I'll get their tea series again, but their smoothies w/ tapioca may be worth a try.
