I have been coming to the Elmwood Spa for years: it's a beautiful large spa with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and an area where you can relax. I usually make it an evening out and come a couple of hours before my treatment to enjoy the pool and hang out with friends.
The spa treats their repeat customers well and the service is generally great: if you are not happy with it, the manager will make it right. These two are arguably the most important qualities in the world of customer service.
Services are not cheap but they are a lot more reasonable than either Shangri-La or Four Seasons spa. All services are not created equal either so I will come to Elmwood for certain service and not others - this is my personal preference, not necessarily a measure of the service quality.
Most of the time, the spa is quite peaceful. Every now and then, I encounter loud patrons who seem to be new to the 'spa voice' concept - this would be the biggest downside for me. And if I am really nit-picking, the cleaning lady that seems to be there on weekday evenings seems quite unhappy & not very pleasant (as in 'will let out a loud sigh of annoyance when doing her job & say a few words under her breath').
All and all, I have not found another spa in Toronto that, in this price range, would come even close to Elmwood Spa. I will remain a loyal customer.
