  • I thought I had written a review of Imperial last year but didn't see it when I looked up their phone number. We are bringing one of our cars back to Loren at Imperial because we have been treated very, very well. I had written at least 2 or 3 reviews on Imperial about our last visit, hopefully they are still out on the web because they were more detailed than what I am writing here. We had towed our Chrysler Sebring into another shop, Stop shop on Harrison St. off of Sunset near the airport because it had stopped running late at night near the shop. They said it was some minor fix that they charged around $300 for. We picked up the car. Within 5 blocks, the car had overheated. We called Stop Shop. They said let it cool down and bring it back. We did that but it heated up shortly again after we drove another mile. We pushed it the remaining half of mile. Stop Shop did not have the proper computer equipment to analyze the car. They missed the fact the water pump was out. The head blew because of them. They claimed innocence. They lied to us that they had driven the car for 20+ minutes to check it out after fixing it. Total b.s. We had it towed to a dealer nearby that Stop Shop recommended. The dealer wanted $400 just to tear into the engine to tell us what was wrong. We had it towed to Imperial. They tore apart the engine for free. They were very honest and gave us some options to save some money on the repair. If we would have taken it to Imperial, we would have learned it was a water pump failure and a common problem with the Chrysler V6 2.6engine. The guys at Stop Shop on Harrison St. didn't have a clue about this common problem nor did they have the computer diagnostic equipment that Imperial had to uncover the true problem. The result was a car we had to sell for junk that was worth 6+ thousand dollars. We have had cars detailed at Imperial which they did an unbelievable job. The air conditioning problem that 3 other shops couldn't figure out, including the dinosaurs at Stop Shop, was resolved at Imperial for $139. Imperial has always treated us fairly. Loren has been open and has tried to keep costs low while explaining the advantages of spending the extra money but always willing to go the economical way. We will continue to take our cars to Imperial. Thanks Loren.
