| - I was married October 11/15. Organizing your wedding by yourself and hiring people you have never met is a scary thing. The first thing I will tell you is to make sure you realize, you are not the only client. These girls don't have set hours or set wedding days, this is VEGAS - people are getting married at all hours! I was terrified of things going wrong and sent several emails for clarification so I knew exactly what to expect. Sometimes it was minutes, sometimes it took 3 days for an answer. The biggest tip I can give you is to not worry about that at ALL. When my wedding day was done, that's when I understood too late that all of that stress was for nothing. LaVey had it COVERED. If there is some time in between messages, don't let it bother you at all and these girls will give you an excellent, calm wedding day.
I have seen reviews about arriving late - this was not at ALL the case for my group, they were right on time.... I was also concerned that they hadn't given us a long enough time frame but as a matter of fact, my own relative who was doing MY hair was late by an hour AND Janine holy crap - had ALL of my bridesmaids hair done in the time it took my cousin who's a hairdresser to just do mine! (And I thought their do's were much more solid to tell you the truth, girls were running up and fixing mine all night).
All you had to do was show pictures (I brought up my Pinterest page) and they did exactly what you wanted. What I really liked about LaVey was she told me how different the looks I chose were and why. I had no clue, I thought they were the same. We quickly settled on one together once she knew what I was trying to accomplish. I did do a trial run with makeup the day before and I'm glad I did because it made me feel so relaxed and calm knowing I was going to look awesome on my wedding day - she did a GREAT job. It was great to not have that stress. We all had casual conversation, it wasn't overboard or awkward, there was no over the top gushing about how good we looked - they'd almost mutter to themselves 'pretty' about something they did while in the process and it was actually a confidence builder.
They were more money than other places I looked at for sure and I was on a difficult budget. But you know what? They were worth it. When you are organizing something from out of the country it's scary and you don't know what you're really going to get. None of the other places gave me the confidence in booking that LaVey did and I am certain I wouldn't have been happy with the results had I not chosen them because I am a perfectionist scared of things not being exactly how I imagine and they delivered 100%.
