If you read the other reviews, many people are getting damaged furniture with no explanation...only repair some time later. I think I have figured it out!
Ashley has a relationship with Rent-a-Center. I saw an ad on TV yesterday with a furniture rent-a-center with an Ashley Furniture logo.
My guess is that they are off-loading the used furniture as new when you think you are buying new furniture. Just a guess!
A few years ago, new to the Valley, I went into the Scottsdale store and ordered a dinette set. I went home and after seeing the space, called within minutes to cancel my order. They said they wouldn't do it even though only paperwork had been done. No furniture was moved in their warehouse. After going into the store and finally talking to the manager they decided the best they could do was refund MOST of my money but not all!! They actually kept $250!!
At that point I was and still am furious. I will never set foot in their stores and wanted to let the rest of you know that you are dealing with scam artists, not an honest retailer.
Too bad because the showroom looked really nice and prices were reasonable...if you want to be conned, treated badly, or get damaged furniture they won't replace (based on comments below), you found your place!
