  • I have eating Truffles pastries for twenty years, and because of that, I will always have a sweet spot (pun intended) for the place. The abrupt closing and subsequent re-opening seemed to set off the kind of "it's not as good as it used to be" rumors that those sorts of things tend to do, so I wanted to visit again, but I was in no rush to do so. I finally made it back a couple of weeks ago and was glad to see that the desserts were just as good as they were before. Unfortunately, the selection was a lot more limited than it used to be. I hope that was a function of the time I visited, and not business as usual. The small selection on my visit is prompting me to give 3 stars instead of 4, so if I go back and that's changed I will happily bump my rating. The physical layout of the place changed a little, but it's not bad, just different. In the end Truffles was, and still is, a great place to indulge your sweet teeth.
