  • Had a family dinner last Tuesday night at Olives and I must say it was not what I expected and certain things lead me to give this restaurant a 4 star. (My sister wanted to give them actually a 3 star though). If you are planning a romantic evening and could not get a table outside DO NOT get a table inside if you want some quite time! When I put the reservation Tuesday @8 through phone, I asked the hostess if I'll be able to book a table outside facing the Bellagio fountain because that is the whole reason I wanted to dine here. The hostess told me they cannot have me seated outside and if I want a table then I had to wait like 20-30 minutes. I asked her if I were to come in early how long would I have to wait since my reservation was at 8pm. She said doesn't matter you can come early but still you will be waitlisted to seat outside. Unfortunately we were not able to go early we were there about 8:02pm which is like 2 minutes by our reservation time. When I asked her if we were able to seated outside she said it will be @9:45pm which is like only 15 minutes away from closing time of the restaurant. We were little upset and we said it's fine and we still had to wait like another 5 minutes to have seated inside the restaurant. The restaurant was overly busy that night. When I meant overly busy it was packed!!!! The tables are super close to one another thus the restaurant was extremely loud. We had to talk over each other because of the noisy level. Me and my sister had really bad migraines that I had to take bunch of Advil to get over it! Our waiter and runner was super nice. Especially the runner we had I do not got his name but he was a short Hispanic man with a mustache and was super attentive and quick. The food selection for dinner is really bad! I have been to other fine restaurants and they had better selections. This was more mediocre. But the main reason I got tired was the amount of time we had to wait for our food! However their portobello flatbread was really yummy! I highly recommend ordering it! I ordered Grilled Nebraska beef tenderloin, medium/rare which was absolutely delicious and perfectly done but was bit of burned on the bottom. My sister had Ricotta Ravioli which could have used more ravioli and not too much sauce. My mom and aunt ordered Cesar salad and they loved it. For desert we had graham cracker crusted crème brûlée. Which was absolutely delicious.
