I am so thankful that there is now a Filipino restaurant in the Southwest area. DT's Restaurant have great food.
I have been to the restaurant a couple times and ordered some food to go.
What's lacking in this place is customer service. The employees need extensive training in customer service. No. 1 rule, greet your customers when they walk in your restaurant. If you're too busy, make eye contact, acknowledge them, and let them know that you will be with them shortly. This makes the customer feel welcome and important.
Just an observation while I patiently waited for my food that took about forty minutes to be ready.
The place was not busy. Nobody checked and apologized for the long wait for my order. Nobody approached a guest that stood by the podium for 5 minutes to be seated, so he finally left.
I like to support small businesses, especially restaurants because it is very hard to make money and be successful within in the first two years. I like to see this restaurant become very successful but management needs to train their employees.
So, when you go to eat at DT's, be patient (it builds character), try to ignore the horrible service (smile) and just enjoy your food (at least you didn't have to cook and clean). Gotta give them a chance, maybe someday it will change.
