Very disappointing experience that made me not want to return.
I am a newbie when it comes to running so naturally I have lots of questions as I prepare for my first 1/2 marathon. I went to rr and found Brian very condescending and cold, as if he thought my questions were stupid. This is not the way to encourage people who are just starting out! His answers were basically just the bare minimum with no real explanation or elaboration.
I think this store could be good for those who are already runners and are just looking for replacement gear. But if you're starting out and want to go somewhere friendly where they don't look down on you, DO NOT go to running room. They are super snobbish. Another girl came in who was looking for replacement shoes and Brian was significantly nicer to her.
At one point, I joked to Brian that this crazy heat we've been having has made it very difficult to run (like, hello it's 35 degrees!) He didn't seem to like that joke and responded in complete seriousness, "well, our running clinic is managing just fine." Like... really?! How rude and unnecessary.
This condescending attitude ultimately made me not want to purchase the recommended shoes and I instead bought them elsewhere. Maybe other sales associates are better? I probably won't go back to find out though.
