| - We strolled in to the lobby on a Monday afternoon and casually inquired about a room in the SMOKE FREE hotel in the City Center complex. Smoke free in Vegas is amazing. I wanted that.
I asked the front desk girl about a room, which was $139. Ok, thats pretty good but there are rooms all over this city, and that didn't seem like it was the best they could do. I inquired about a complimentary upgrade. After a brief and muted phone call, she offered us a Vdara suite, which was twice the size of a regular room, and had a full sized kitchen. This is what I'm talking about. Even though we didn't spend any real time in the room, it is always nice to feel like you're getting a deal!
The room, amazing, with a nice view of the pool from the living room. We later learned that these rooms were designed to be condos, but with the economy and all... We didn't use the washer and dryer.
The pool was understated compared with some of the over the top pools on the strip (and off strip Hardrock and Palms!!) but you could get your drink on and keep cool.
I heard the spa was amazing. Maybe next time. I heard the food was amazing, definitely next time. The convenience to Bellagio and Aria were appreciated as well.
I liked being able to check out from one of the TVs in the room, and skipping the line in the lobby.
I will make this my choice hotel in the future.
