A great stop-in for us New Yorkers - to check out the Canadian coffee scene. The iced mocha I had was good, nothing spectacular. The decor was hip and rustic, a nice updated spot along Main St. Stouffville. Service was decent, quiet for a Sunday afternoon. But what blew me away was their butter tarts! I figured I'd try out a Canadian staple to see how their version was. It looked particularly appetizing sitting behind that window amongst all the other sweets. The cinnamon roll we tried was , eh...dry on the inside. I am surprised how this butter tart has not gotten bigger reviews from yelpers out there...this is a one of a kind butter tart. The flaky, buttery crust was like none I've ever had before. The buttery sugar filling was not overly sweet like butter tarts tend to be. A perfect combo of sweetness and flaky crunchiness. I desperately need their recipe!!! Will need to make a return trip for butter tarts at MSB in Stouffville!
