| - Came here last night with family for a birthday dinner, and we were excited to be back at Bandera, as we had great food on each previous dining visit. The last time here was about a year ago and everything was delicious. However, last night we left so disappointed in our meals and the service. First of all, the meals were at our table in minutes! Kind of too soon, as we were enjoying the cornbread and conversing before eating. The Brussels sprouts were very undercooked - too hard to enjoy. The ribs were dry and tough, and NOT falling off the bone like I had remembered. And the mashed potatoes tasted like they were instant. We all remembered them being one of the highlights of our meals and last night they were the type you'd get at Denny's! We asked one of the waiters if the restaurant changed management and he hesitatingly replied, "I'm not sure...." My margarita was taken away before I was finished and I was never asked if I wanted another. We definitely got the feeling that they just wanted to flip our table fast. Then when we asked for the remainders of our dinners to go, our waiter unceremoniously plopped three plastic containers down in the middle of our table. No offer to help us wrap, no bag to carry them out, nothing. $30 plus a plate and we wrap our own leftovers? We finally asked for a bag and we got one. All in all, this was a huge disappointment for us and I personally won't be going back at these prices. Bandera, you've lost one of your biggest fans.
