| - This was my fourth visit, and it's been consistently good. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired, and the tables are kind of tight, but the food is good and plentiful here at KOS.
I had the "Veggie Eggspress" which was "3 eggs any style with choice of: grilled tomato, baked beans, salad or sauté spinach with mushrooms and onions". The waitress recommended the spinach, and it was excellent. Not overdone and tasty.
The regular "Eggspress" (which is basically their breakfast special at 5.95), contains "3 eggs any style with choice of: bacon, ham, sausage, peameal bacon or hot Italian sausage". Both are served with home fries, fresh fruits (cantaloupe, orange and grapes) and toast. The home fries are excellent, and include onions - which may seem like an obvious ingredient, but is sadly missing in most diners in this town. Coffee is extra.
One friend had the above with the sausage and highly recommended it. My other friends had the Huevos Rancheros, one regular and one vegetarian. They both liked them a lot.
The menu also contains a number of "fancier" options* which raises it a step above the average greasy spoon. All it needs is a Restaurant Makeover.
*like Eggs Bennie, Eggs Florentine and Eggs Salmonnie.
