| - OK place for a bite, because you know what you're getting, but also does feel like a rip off since bottom line: still paying a lot for hot dogs, with some toppings. And the hot dogs weren't the big beefy jumbo hot dogs, so it did not seem special or elevated enough to warrant the price. These were standard sized hot dogs, longer than the bun.
But I still give it 4 stars because as Alice L. said, the wait in LA is at minimum 1 hour (if you're lucky), versus getting served here within 5 minutes or less. Not sure if it's the timing -- around Xmas holiday on a weekday, but service was fast, and the cashier almost looked a little bored. Kind of a young girl who answered your questions, but had zero energy or friendliness. Looked like she did not want to be there at all, and you were inconveniencing her by being there. Ah well, I had a Check-in offer for a free hot dog with purchase of two other hot dogs. May as well make the most of it!
We got onion rings -- crispy and thickly battered.
Cheese fries -- liquid cheese was good, but the fries alone seemed extremely over salted. Like to the point it tasted bad.
Nacho chili cheese dog -- gooey cheese and chili (no beans, which is great for my husband!) and onions. We opted to not have mustard on it because it's a strong flavor and IMO didn't mix in well.
Brooklyn/pastrami dog -- My husband had it, and they were surprisingly plentiful with the pastrami.
BBQ/cole slaw dog -- my favorite, just because I love cole slaw. But since hot dogs are salty, I feel like the cole slaw adds a little sweetness and texture. A bit light on the bbq sauce, but still good overall.
I don't think there's any indoor seating, only outdoor. I think most people were opting for takeout orders. FYI: we couldn't finish everything in one sitting and the hot dogs held over very well a few hours later.
Great spot, convenient to everything on the strip. Right by Planet Hollywood and Miracle Mile shops. Perfect for a quick bite to recharge.
