This gym is more than it appears to be. What sets this gym apart from all the others is the people. The feeling I get from this gym is that it is not for the uncommitted. In the handful of times I've visited, I haven't seen a woman with a full face of makeup on just to do a few pushes and pull on a machine and call it a day. The people I've seen are more invested than that.
Speaking of invested--shout out to Judy and Noah whom are trainers here; available to the members and even more available to you once you elect to further the initial free training they provide at the start. I have a background in massage and enjoy reading and learning about various exercise trends and unconventional/untraditional exercises too. Pair that with hearing a bunch of contradictory claims from other personal trainers and what you get is my understanding of what I want and works for me. After hearing a bit of self-disclosure from Judy and Noah about how they've come to crafting their style of training--I knew immediately that they were the trainers I knew I've always wanted but never thought could find. I would never find them at a big gym at least---it doesn't suit their personal flair and dedication. Turns out, the big gyms don't suit my needs either. That personalization only comes from a trainer that believes in the methods they preach and desire to invest their time in arriving at your goals. In other words, they want to see the outcome of your good exercise behavior as much as you do. I say all of this and I haven't even paid for their personal training sessions yet! How do I know this? They are investing their time to thoroughly show me the start to finish guideline to successfully achieving the personalized program that works for me specifically. To them, it doesn't matter if the hour is up for the free session--they gauge your readiness for going off on your own before they actually conclude the session with you. They also feel responsible for being a resource to the gym members whom just need a few pointers here and there. Or maybe even to spot you when you need it.
What comes along with this very personal approach to personal training is my investment and effort to showing them that I am not the kind of client that does not know when there's a good thing standing right in front of me. :D What a great reciprocal relationship! As long as they are here at this gym, both their clients and members of the gym have it Real Good!
