  • 3.5 stars for this place. I used to study here over a decade ago when I was in high school over coffee and italian sodas. And then when I was in university it went through a SUPER sketchy phase. But now, it's quite nice! The decor is lovely and there is ample seating, which is good because it gets super busy. They also have some treats from Sweets from the Earth, which is awesome for going for coffee with your vegan friends. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if you live in the area or are visiting friends who do, it's a nice neighbourhood coffee place. It's situated in Lawrence Plaza where you will also find a Metro, Winners, Shoe Company, Shoppers and The United Bakery. And it's a block away from Barbara Frum library. Second Cup in general...they charge $0.50 for soya milk (actually, I think they may have increased to $.66 like Starbucks), so I try to avoid going there when possible. Whereas with Starbucks if you use the starbucks card the fee is waived, there is no such equivalent for Second Cup - boo!
