| - I would not stay here, it's not worth the money they charge. Going through other reviews (here and on other sites), it seems some of the issues I had were not new or happening for the first time; this to me indicates they don't have the willingness or resources to maintain their rooms properly.
In order of appearance, here are the issues I had during my two night stay:
- The minifridge had a former guest's leftovers still in it
- The TV would sometimes not work-- rather, only the sound would work, but the screen would remain black. I'd have to turn it off and on again and that would do the trick usually
- Their HVAC system was fairly loud IMO
- Each side of the bed comes with a nightlight with an integrated power outlet. The power outlets were, in my opinion, shoddily installed; which meant that after plugging in my phone charger and leaving it on for the entire night, my phone did not fully charge. I discovered the only way to get it to charge was to manually hold the charger against the outlet, which I can do for a few minutes but after a while... it gets old. I didn't have problems plugging my charger in any other outlet, just the ones by the bed.
- Yellow/brownish water! My room came with an awesome jacuzzi. Following instructions, I filled the jacuzzi with water, only to discover the water was yellow. First I thought the lighting in the room might be making it *look* yellow... but no, the water was actually quite yellowish/brown. I compared a glass of water taken from the jacuzzi to one taken from the sink area and the difference was noticeable. So if you do stay here, be on the lookout for the color of your water. But, not all jacuzzi hope is lost: I emptied the jacuzzi and re-filled it and the water looked more clear the second time. Hooray!
So those were the bad things. Now for the good:
- Great customer service. The front desk was always very nice and polite and they had no problem with quickly getting me a blanket moments after I requested one (I felt cold in the room)
- Convenient shuttle service. It only moves within a few miles of the hotel (so it won't take you or pick you up from the airport, unfortunately) but it was free, super useful to get around the city, and the drivers were friendly and knowledgeable about the area
I should note that none of the problems I had were insurmountable (though yellowish water and strangers' leftovers are off-putting) and had it happened at a different price point, the customer service would have made up for it. But having paid $500 to stay there for 2 nights, I was pretty disappointed.
