| - It's taken me MONTHS to get around to this review. I've honestly been dreading writing this company up because it was such a dreadful experience. In the past, I've only used Yelp to write quality, fun, uplifting reviews.
For starters, this transaction took so much longer than it actually should have taken. There were mistakes made, assumptions given, inaccurate numbers and dates to name a few. I would have to say the BIGGEST frustration was when we were finally near closing, Nova's paperwork had conflicting close dates and we had to do all the paper work over again THREE times which made us have to go back to the title company and have them rework all the paperwork as well. What a night mare. Greg is a good guy; he communicates well and is very professional, however; he didn't come to the rescue until 3 months of drawn out idiocy on behalf of the rest of the staff. The only thing I can say in defense of the Nova team is that we did a transaction for sale by owner which COULD have made trier process a bit more challenging without the realtor involved in the process. At the end of the day, with or without the help of a realtor, the staff should be competent to find out what documents need ordered and to be able to obtain accurate/pertinent information. This was literally one of the worst experiences of my life in terms of transactions. This was my first major purchase as a young adult and could have been handled much more efficiently without the mistakes of a loan company. We were talked down to, told our condo wasn't even available for purchase based on false information from a condo certificate and overall not respected. I honestly just think their competence level and overall education of the finance world is lacking. It's like we were working with high school graduates. I would definitely NOT recommend working with this company unless you were working with Greg Gale specifically.
