My experience was similar to Jessica J. We were a party of 6 and went on a Thursday for 6 p.m. dinner. The food was fine. Everyone enjoyed the Evo kale salad. The Bolognese was great. If I were to rate the food for the price I would say 4 stars.
But for me the atmosphere is just as important as the food, in fact, I would prefer just "ok" food but great table and service.
We arrived at 6 and they only had a few tables occupied. Since we were a party of 6 we asked for a round table and the hostess told us they were reserved. One of the 2 rounds was set with silverware but the second had nothing on it. I know there are situations were the table is reserved for later and would not have given us time to dine before the other party arrived and I'm fine with that. We were seated at two tables pushed together making it difficult to have a group conversation.
Both tables sat unseated for the entire time we were there.
It was noisy and there was music in the bar which was fine but if we had been seated at the round table we would have been farther from the bar and it would have been easier to talk.
Our server had no idea what the daily specials were although he was attentive.
Worst part: Thursday night is Manicures and Martinis. The smell from the nail stations that were set up was very noticeable. Totally not acceptable in a dining environment. I'm not sure what the health dept. would say to serving food while and filing nails.
We had dined the week of Superbowl with another group. We were seated at the bigger table, the server was very helpful and knew the menu. No manicure smell. The noise level was not a problem but they weren't very busy. Overall a good experience.
