  • Be adventurous but be warned. You might enjoy this truck you might regret it. I have a hard time pinning this down because some things I really liked, and other things I found interesting but not for me. I sampled three tacos: Cauliflower didn't do it for me, the dish could have otherwise done a good job but I just didn't get the texture I wanted. The flavor was close to what I had hoped for but there is something missing and I can't put my finger on it. Chana was prepared well and had more interesting choices. I liked it but it definitely isn't for everyone. I really liked the mouth feel of this item and they kept it all tied together well enough. I didn't get into my expected masala flavor groove. I am probably overly committed to tomatoes and onions. Pork belly was almost there, and the best of the tacos to end on. It had the right texture of the pork, but the sauce was a bit too heavy for me after the other two tacos. It was also the emptiest of the tacos and a real struggle to get pork belly in each bite. Price is another issue, I think other trucks can't fill you up for $ 6-8 but here you will be more likely to spend $10+. Three tacos for $10 is expensive, and the $3.50 each with a $.50 discount on three is weak. $9 for three tacos would make a difference to me because then I could consider that fourth taco or not. Conclusion: you will know with the first bite if Tin Kitchen's truck is for you. I found it interesting but I am not craving to go back as I am with some other trucks/carts I have rated here. If you like flavors that equally challenge and excite you then this is the place. If you just want comfort food then I can't recommend such an adventurous but dangerous place.
