| - I can't give this a zero if I could I would. My husband made a reservation and we immediately knew that it wasn't for the correct dates and he changed via website..we we did not know when we changed it that it, there was a no cancellation policy, somehow we missed it. About 3 weeks before the trip we realized we could not make those dates and tried to cancel. Staff was unable to make a decision and we had to speak to management...after calls back and forth..and many non retuned phone calls..finally we got a no, that we could not cancel. We travel ALOT, my husband travels for work, we are loyalty customers with the Mariott. This is very peculiar, we have never run into not being able to cancel ever before. When we called corporate, we got a similar go around...people answering the phone said they didn't think it would be a problem to cancel, however, when their supervisor came, they would say it couldn't be cancelled. Even one told us how they charged our card wrong...they charged it within 10 minutes and it is supposed to be an hour. I am not sure what happened, we have not had a problem with our many stays at Marriott, however in the future Mariott will be our last pick when looking for accommodations. I wish I could have written this response on their web page but you have to stay in order to write a review..We are out several hundred dollars.
