Copper Star is great if you can find parking. Make sure you don't venture too far into their parking lot in the alley though, because it is hard to turn around and get yourself out of there.
This place is cozy and always less crammed and busy than their neighbors on Central, but I sense that part of the reason for this is that their stuff just isn't quite up there in consistent quality with said neighbors. Consistency is really important to me when it comes to my beloved caffeinated beverages, and I'd say it's about 60/40 whether or not my espresso tastes a little burninated in my drinks here or my iced tea tastes like it was left steeping a bit too long.
However, the staff here is genuinely nice and their baked goods are incredible. My old boss used to bring me a rice krispy treat from here regularly and man do I miss those. If you come in here at night, they might toss an extra treat in your bag to clear out their case for the next day!
All-in-all, while this place doesn't serve the best latte in Phoenix, the ambience is there. To me, Copper Star is less of a morning coffee rush than it is a relaxing place to stop after work and unwind with a nice drink. Highly recommend the iced earl grey when you can get it!
