This is a review of two car wash locations (The Super Star at 490 N Dysart in Goodyear and the Classic Car Spa at 14031 Indian School in Goodyear).
I have lived in the West valley now for eight years. Most of that time I have used the Classic Car Spa because it was close to both the pharmacy and grocery store we frequented. About three years ago the Classic Car Spa somehow switched my floor mats with another Camry. They matched the color of my carpet but clearly did not belong in my car. I then switched to Super Star.
My wife and I have, within the last year, both traded in our ten and fifteen year old cars for newer models. When the weather is nice I do all the wash and detail work. However, with the onset of Summer I have been using Super Star's express drive through. I then go home to finish cleaning.
Today, with the temperature getting uncomfortable to work in the mornings, I decided to take my wife's car in for Super Star's $19.95 full service wash. I knew something was wrong when I was walking, from just dropping off the car, to the register area and I saw my car already coming down the wash conveyer. They didn't give the car anything but a cursory vacuuming. What was their hurry? They weren't even backed up. Apparently they were not in a hurry. They were just not interested in doing a good job. They same happened when the car got through the wash and the guys were drying it outside. I saw a number of guys wiping the same outside windows over and over but no one really paying much attention to the interior.
When I arrived home I had to re-vacuum the interior, and re-clean the interior of two of the doors. I then had to clean road tar they missed on the side of the car. It wasn't easy to remove. Perhaps that is why it was ignored.
I then took my other car to Classic Car Spa. I purchased their $19.99 Complete Wash. They weren't any busier than Super Star. However, they took the time to vacuum my car before washing it. After the wash they also took the time to clean the interior. I did have to wait a little longer at Classic Car Spa but it was worth it not to have to re-do work that should have been done in the first place.
I will be going back to Classic Car Spa in the future.
