I had a great experience at Em today. I'm always weary of new nail salons and the cleanliness. The last salon I went to over buffed and clipped my nails so I decided I needed to try another place.
It was my friends birthday so I decided to treat her to a pedicure. The appointment process was quite easy, called the day before to book an appointment and was able to get my desired time. When we arrived, we were greeted by one of the workers. She told us to pick our colours and make our way to the chairs. It's a very small salon but it was clean. I thought some areas were a little cluttered and messy but I think they have room for improvement there. Overall, I felt comfortable with this place. They don't have the typical massage chairs and the jets, but I prefer the simple basin. There was one or two customers getting their nails done when we arrived so we were able to get started quickly.
The ladies working on our nails were super friendly and so easy to talk to. The girl working on my toes was funny and also gave me useful advice on how to take care of my feet in between pedi's :) The leg and foot massage was lovely and my nails were painted nicely. She was also very gentle and careful and I didn't get any cuts nor did it hurt. We definitely did not feel rushed or forgotten (maybe because it wasn't super busy) and relaxed after our pedi. I'll definitely think of Em Beauty again the next time I need to do my nails. Their debit/credit was down today, so I had to pay cash. For just the pedi, I paid $27 before tip. I believe they are having a promotion since I saw $30 on the website.
