  • I visited Palm Glen based on a recommendation from a friend, as I was looking for a second opinion about my aging dog and some new medical issues she was having. I really liked Dr. Mangone - he's very personable, straightforward, answered all my questions, and provided helpful and practical advice. My husband even liked him, which says a lot! My dog ended up having surgery with him, and he did a great job. Unfortunately, the after care and dealing with prescription refills, etc. is where Palm Glen falls short. My follow up messages left with the front desk went unanswered, along with other questions I've had since then. Whoever answers the phone immediately wants to schedule a visit, despite that I only have a quick question or concern for the vet and my dog can no longer handle random vet visits. Then, upon leaving a message, no one ever gets back to me. Three different times I've spoken with the front desk for requests to have prescriptions/refills called into my pharmacy, and three times they were incorrect, either wrong quantity, calling the wrong place, or filling in their office and not notifying me. Although Dr. Mangone is awesome, I had to switch to another vet whose office can provide better support.
