  • I am a new to yelp, and Las Vegas, but I am NOT new to purchasing virgin (raw) indian human hair. Being from Los Angeles, I am used to a higher quality of hair and accessibility. Since I am currently living in Las Vegas, I figured I would give the Vegas market a try. I've probably been buying hair longer than they have been in business. With that said, around early November, I called over the phone and spoke with a young lady about their different hair options; length, texture, and if the hair had been compromised in any way from processing (e.g chemicals, and dyeing). She explained that hair was not processed, and they had all different hair types; so for me it was a no brainer- and I headed down there. Upon arrival, the young lady was very pleasant, I told her what I was looking for (non processed, 22inch,wavy texture, indian hair). She proceeded to show me both Peruvian and Indian hair. She explained that although they look similar, the Peruvian hair was slightly thicker (not to mention cheaper),and after playing with the two bundles for a while I ended up choosing the Peruvian bundle. Once home, and after a more in depth inspection, I noticed that the hair was full of split ends. As I proceeded to wash my new bundle in preparation for my hair appointment, I noticed a horrible frito lay corn chip smell. I washed the bundle 3xs and still couldn't get the smell out. I conditioned it, let it air dry, with the hopes that the smell would go away. But it did not. My hair dresser noticed the smell immediately and told me that the hair was procesesed. She told me sometimes during the packing process (from India),hair could obtain a mildew type smell, but this clearly wasn't the case. She also advised me to wash it a few more times and give the chemicals a chance to break down. Well.... I've since washed my hair 4 more times, and I still smell like the corn chip girl. I recently had a second installment but could only use half of the bundle because the smell was still so prominent. Now as far as the straightening and curling qualities of the hair, I am very pleased. Hence, the reason for the 2 STAR rating.I had no issues with tangling and there was a normal amount of shedding. With that being said, I probably will have to continue buying my hair from Pauline Human Hair, in socal. I hope that Her Imports can figure that corn chip smell out, and if and when they do, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and purchase from them again. But until then, off to LA I go!!
