SUE IS A NO-SHOW. DO NOT RELY ON HER.
i had arranged a Saturday evening party for my wife's 70th birthday -- a major milestone, no? -- but the good folks who usually clean our house had an emergency and called in advance to say they couldn't keep their appointment. Yikes. It was Wednesday. So I hit the web and found a few recommended cleaners close to home.
Some couldn't make it, of course: too short notice. But Sue Legore said, while Thursday and Friday were fully booked and she didn't usually work Saturdays, she'd make an exception because of the occasion and would come over to clean first thing -- 8:00 a.m. -- on Saturday morning. I told her I'd pay her extra for her kindness.
Some kindness. She hadn't arrived by 8:30. I sent her a text. No reply. I called her. No answer. She simply never showed up. No response throughout the rest of the entire day, no apology, nothing at all from Sue Legore.
So my wife and I spent her milestone birthday cleaning house. Thanks a lot, Sue.
If you enjoy the hassle and stress of working with people who don't keep their word, give Sue a call. Maybe she'll ignore you too.
