Just moved to Las Vegas and the house I bought had an old water softener system. I have never owned a water softener system and did not even know if it worked. I called and Max showed up and tested my water.
He was truthful and said my water softener did work, but my system was small and old for the size of my house and that I had to manually regenerate my water softening system. He was not pushy and did not try to scare me into getting a system with him.
I shopped around and yes you can find cheaper water softeners at Lowes, Home Depot, and online; but after hearing how bad the Las Vegas water was I decided to get a "big boy" system (large water softener, carbon filtration, and reverse osmosis).
I scheduled an appointment and he came the next day. This might be weird but the sight of those two new monster tanks make me happy. Before taking a shower with the new system I did not know the difference between hard water and soft water. The water is much more slippery now, which I think is supposed to be a good thing.
I highly recommend Oasis for a water softener system if you are in the market for one, or any other plumbing needs.
