| - Failure.
Bell Canada has the second worst customer service of all time, falling just behind the current poor-customer-service world champion, Acanac Inc (which is the worst business I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with in a first world country).
The good:
- Bell Canada has competitive prices on their business service offerings
- My land line phone always works
- Their business phone portal is cool (you can set up call forwarding and stuff online)
The bad:
- Emily. Emily is their IVR and I want to punch her in the face. "Just say your phone number!" "I'm sorry, I didn't get that. Please try again." "For English, say... English!" ...How about you just let me press a button to route my call like every other company on earth. The reason that people don't use voice ASRs is because they aren't very good.
- The service. When their service works and you don't need to call them, whatever, who cares. But when you DO need to call them they should have:
a. shorter wait times (hello, I am calling BUSINESS SERVICES because my BUSINESS cannot function without your constantly broken SERVICE)
b. people who speak English (every single person who works her is French and has limited English knowledge and graces. Without exception.)
c. unfied account management system. They can NEVER find my account because it is ALWAYS in "a different system"
Specific stories of failure:
- Bell didn't bill me for 5 months when I first set up internet with them. I had to contact them (seriously) and ask them to send me a bill. I still haven't gotten it, but if there is a late payment charge on it, I am going to lose my shit on these people.
- My internet has been messed up for 2 weeks. Today was my 4th phone call. The woman admitted that she saw a problem when she tested the line, but had to ask her supervisor if she could issue a ticket for this - because I own my modem. Yes, because I don't allow Bell to rape me with rental fees, she was not sure if she was allowed to issue a ticket to fix the service from the RT to my house. She had to ask someone.
In summary, I will probably keep Bell because I like their phone service but their internet is horrible and everyone who works there is an underdeveloped donkey.
