I cannot tell you how disappointed I was with my dinner at Zinc.
Our waiter was cordial but inattentive. The food presentation is beautiful, but it stops there. It doesn't matter how good the food "looks" if it has no taste. I ordered the dungeness crab omelet. It was terrible. The omelet itself was thick and chewy and the crab I'm pretty sure came from a can. I am from theChesapeake Bay area and I know what crab looks and tastes like and I know when it is not fresh. The good news was that there was maybe a scant tablespoon of it in the omelet. If you're going to put a crab omelet on the menu I think you should actually put some fresh crab in it. Didn't taste any truffle and the hollandaise was minimal and tasteless.
If you want to "See and Be Seen" go to Zinc Bistro for an expensive drink - AFTER you've had a lovely and delicious dinner somewhere else.
