| - I went in this afternoon looking at new Silverados. I found one I liked and went inside to talk numbers. They come back after about 15 minutes and try selling me the car at full MSRP and offer me $9000, or about 60% of the trade in value. I was very appalled as I had told them I just bought my wife a used car a few months ago and it was the best experience I have ever had buying car. Gateway Chevrolet made sure that they don't want to earn my business. I tried speaking with the manager, John Huggins, who worked my deal and he would not come out and speak with me as to why he was so offensive in numbers and wasting my time . He did come back about $3,000 more on the trade, "and not a dollar more", but the trade was still $3000 less than wholesale value, but he still refused to speak with me. I made up my mind that I was not going to buy the pickup there given their lack of customer service. Needless to say, I went down the road to Yates GMC, and they gave me $15,000 on my trade and discounted their Sierra about $6,000 in less than half the time Gateway Chevrolet took.
