  • The best nature center in Cleveland. This place really has it all. The inside is gorgeous and informative and is really enjoyable for adults and children. I remember going here on a field trip when I was very young and enjoying learning about Ohio and the wildlife that inhabits it. Inside I found gorgeous views of the Rocky River and awesome taxidermy animals, exhibits (including a GIANT fake tree for the kids to play in), and a seating area and deck for bird watching. Not only is the inside beautiful, the real charming part of this particular Nature Center is its location: right in the heart of the Metroparks with amazing hiking trails surrounding. The trails aren't too difficult, unless you climb the 100-something stairs to the top of the cliffs overlooking the Rocky River. Gorgeous views. And totally worth the climb. I go hiking at this Nature Center at least 50 times a year and it never gets old. If you haven't gone, go. Even if you're alone, or with the family, or a friend, you won't be sorry.
