| - Best Jewelry store in the Southeast...not just Charlotte.
I have bought several pieces of jewelry here, including my wife's engagement ring. I highly recommend working with Joey Stagnone if buying anything diamond related. Joey is a certified gemologist, and really knows his stuff! He's also very good about listening to the customers wants and desires (the 4 C's), and then fitting those expectations to stones he has in the vault. Any price point is welcome in this store. The have everything from your small diamonds to your big honkers (I know...I saw two stones as big as golfballs that a sales associate was showing to an ultra high end buyer in one of the back offices...don't remember the exact carat weights, but they were $750,000 and $1.3 Mil, respectively...pretty cool). Also, not sure what one Yelper on here is talking about, but they do not use EGL certifications, at least not exclusively...I'm sitting here looking at the GIA report for my wife's engagement diamond. And GIA is the best in the diamond certification industry. They may do dual certifications (EGL/GIA) for their bigger stones. They even showed me updated Rapaport Diamond Reports during the times I was shopping for my wife's engagement diamonds. Tell me one other jewelry store that would do this? You can't, because others (especially chains!) don't want you knowing how crazy their markups are!
Joey is top notch, but all of their other sales staff are incredibly attentive and helpful as well; quick with a piece of advice or glass of wine while you browse! Never pushy, mostly because they don't have to be. This is where the better part of the Southeast shops for their bling, I imagine. They ship next-day if you are out of the area (or if you are an out of state resident and just want to get the sales tax break...a huge discount if you are buying a piece of jewelry that costs a couple of grand or more). Their service department is top notch as well; everything from resizings to loose stones to missing stones.
Next splurge purchase is going to be a new Breitling, once I can save up a few bones. DD just recently became a certified Breitling dealer. The only one in the Charlotte area I believe.
