  • It used to be M Sushi & Roll and was an AYCE sushi bar and it did close for awhile but it is now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Lee, a wonderful older couple from Korea. They left the name M Sushi on the sign kept some of the pictures that were on the walls inside but they now serve mostly Korean home cooking. AWESOME Korean, I might add. They do have a small selection of basic sushi rolls but their Korean BBQ is so good that I didn't even miss the sushi (much). My husband and I stopped by for my birthday on Nov. 15th thinking it would be AYCE sushi and after meeting Mr. Lee we decided to stay and eat. The lunch menus looked so simple and tbh I had my heart set on sushi so I was considering going elsewhere but as we sat at a table perusing the menu Mr. Lee brought out two bowls of hot chicken cream soup that was made by his wife (she makes everything, from what I can tell and she has a real gift!). Feeling obligated to stay at that point we settled in and sampled the soup - SO GLAD WE STAYED! The soup was wonderful! I ordered a kind of sampler platter with some Korean "pancakes" and some shrimp and some pork dumplings. My husband ordered the BBQ beef. The meal also came with traditional sides like the best kimchi I've ever had, some little red pickled thingies, cucumber salad, seaweed salad, and steamed white rice. At the end of the meal, just as we were finishing up, Mr. Lee appeared with another complimentary dish, some kind of glass noodle and beef stir fry that put us over the top. The best part was when he asked "what would you like more of?". We were both full even before the glass noodle surprise had arrived so we assured him that we couldn't eat another bite but the offer made me feel like we were in Korea in the Lee's home kitchen having family dinner with them. I haven't been offered 'seconds' since the last time I visited my mom's house. All in all, great authentic Korean food, super sweet couple. The atmosphere is very casual and I was a little bit bummed to not see Pho on the menu (the one Korean dish I have always wanted to try, and I bet Mrs. Lee has a seriously great recipe for it) but all in all I was extremely impressed and will definitely be returning!
