After my 5 days here last week we did a few of the buffets along the way. For me this was the best one in terms of food quality and flavor. There was an ample selection of items and more than you could try even with a large appetite. We paid the extra 10 bucks a head to get into the express line which is also where the rewards program participants line up. It still took about 20 minutes but was well worth it unless you like waiting 90 minutes to save a few bucks. The service here was the best out of any of the buffets we tried. We were here for lunch so the seafood and fish selection was very limited. But the items they did have were all very good, The mussels, tuna poke, shrimp dumplings, roasted salmon, cod and snapper were all very good. The sushi selection was just a few selections and very basic. That was a disappointment.
The carved meat table was nice and had 5 selections as I recall. The roasted tri-tip was very good as was the mashed potatos and gravy. The mashed were like silk and with that gravy it was top notch. The roasted veggies were very good as was the green beans and broccoli as they were well seasoned with something besides sat. Then there was the latkes. These are potato pancakes made with a shredded potato like hashbrowns instead of a grated type as most other types. These were cooked on a road flat top grill and topped with a variety of toppings. I had the shredded Kobe beefs hitch was excellent as was the Ruben version which had the same toppings as the sandwich would. There were several other versions available but I was getting full.
Never made it to the Asian, salad, Italian or desert sections as there are priorities you know. I would bet this place rocks the selections at dinner time. Next time!
