  • Let me start by saying I really wanted to like this place. My friend had recommended it and it's really close to my work, I rarely have a ton of free weekend time to get my acrylics filled so it was a great solution. I'm a Cleveland Lifestyle blogger and I take every opportunity I can to showcase local businesses and was hoping to do the same here. A few days prior to my services I called the salon around 6PM to see if they had space for a fill before they closed at 8 (they said they did, we got off the phone.) They called back to say the 'girl who does acrylics' had an appointment at 7, could I be there right away? I let her know I was already on my way and would be there in 5. As I'm just a few blocks away she called me back again to let me know she didn't have enough time (an hour) to do a fill. I told her I didn't need them painted, just a fill would be fine and she still said no. I chalked that up to bad timing and went on my lunch break from work (and set an appointment) a few days later. The salon is adorable, is in a great location, has a great inventory of colors and everyone was really friendly & sweet. That's the only reason I'm even giving 2 stars. The services itself I could have done better on my own nails. She filed each nail individually for what felt like 30 mins each, scraping up my fingers in the process. She didn't take down the thickness of the nail at all to look remotely natural. And when it finally did come to painting my nails (after I had already paid and tipped her giving the benefit of the doubt) she used so much nail polish I still don't think my nails are completely dry. I asked for a reverse mani with my fill. I ended up leaving without even getting it because we were already going on well over an hour of services and with the amount of nail polish to be dried I was looking at spending another 45 minutes there. When I asked her to just put the top coat on and that I needed to get back to work- a refund for the additional cost of the reverse mani wasn't even mentioned. I ended up messing up my nail when grabbing my purse, and didn't even bother to have her fix it because I'm going to need to go to another place to have the acrylics fixed on top of the paint job. Overall I spent over $50 to leave a place feeling like I must have pissed this girl off in another setting; because if this is the regular services Lavender's customers get, I'm not sure how they manage to pay the rent. Save yourself the time and money, and avoid this salon.
