  • In summary if you don't want to read my saga, don't rent here. I picked up a car in Ontario and dropped it off in Quebec. I hate to be negative but this car rental company is the worst I've ever seen. :( Don't let your neighbors or your family rent here -- don't even let the family pet, twice removed, attempt to rent here. First, we were given a rate in the $300s through Expedia. Our flight was quite delayed and there were icy roads so we took a cab and decided to pick it up in the morning -- we called that evening to check that picking up the car in the morning was kosher. They said it was totally fine. Next morning we arrive and the front desk tells us they canceled our reservation and have no record of the conversation the previous night. And they apparently have no cars...under law, rental companies have to keep a reservation for at least 24 hours. :( They eventually find a car at another location and drive it over to us but this time they charged us in the $400s -- we were stranded so we accepted it. 5 minutes later, the front desk told us it would actually be over $500 dollars. We would've been late to a meeting so we paid the extra and thought Expedia could work it out later. Wrong. We then go to return the car in Quebec and it's nearly impossible to find the place because they go under a billion different names...shell companies, eh? Seems a little bit shady... They then charge us another fee as a surcharge? The man at the front desk is also unreasonable? And their office is in shambles...multiple panels from their ceiling were missing and water was dripping through -- not the best idea, perhaps? We get home and were relieved the car didn't break down. I check my credit card bill and the rental company charged us again today for the car rental, totaling our amount of 1K. Obviously I called the credit card company and told them to change it but what on earth? Sorry I don't have better news but beware. Just go with a brand name car rental company and pay a little bit more. Groove on y'all.
