| - I wanted to love Ikea, and for the most part I really did like it. It is a bit overwhelming though. So many choices and arrangements! I didn't buy on my first visit because there were just so many options, I wanted to think about it. But I did decide to buy a complete bedroom set of bed, dresser, chest, and side table. I had to have it delivered. With some trepidation, my daughter came to help me assemble. Within the first 15 minutes we ran in to trouble. The bed did not fit together as shown by any means. Then when sliding another piece together, the "wood" split. So the whole bed which had been assembled to that point had to be taken back apart and all million pieces and parts hauled back downstairs to the car for return. I'm hoping the return goes easily, but will wait until Monday so as not to fight the weekend crowds. I wasn't expecting high quality, but I am
Hoping for a least the replacement that doesn't just split apart. I also bought an adorable kitchen cart for a great price. On sale for $19.99. I really like it a lot and feel it was a great value. I signed up for the free family membership and enjoyed free coffee which was really good coffee! Oh, I also bought a lamp, $19.99, which is sturdy and really stylish. I will update my review when I see how the other furniture assembly goes and how the return and exchange of the bed goes.
