  • THEY CALL THEMSELVES PHOENIX CAR RENTAL NOW! THE AG HAS FILED CRIMINAL CHARGES AGAINST SABAN, SO THEY REOPENED UNDER A NEW NAME. BEWARE! Dangerous vehicles, hidden fees that double the quoted prices. The Sabans are truly worse than the scum of the earth. When I returned the van I rented, Saban was engaged in heated arguments with two other customers over their ridiculous hidden fees. The van was filthy. The odometer had been tampered with, by painting over the 6th digit, making 298,000 miles look like 98,000 miles. The front end was so sloppy, loose and out of alignment, I was pulled over 3x in 3 days. The tires were so undersized and bald New Mexico almost made me abandon the van on I-25 and pay for a tow truck. Instead I paid a ticket, and said a prayer and continued toward home. The windshield wipers had no rubber left on them at all. The $550 rental charge turned out to include $450 of charges that were NEVER mentioned when I signed the original contract. I almost turned around in Flagstaff and came back to Phoenix, but I assume that filthy pig, Saban would have charged me the full rate anyway, citing the contractual agreement. Someone needs to take these people out in the parking lot, kick their teeth in and break a few ribs. I have still pictures and video of how dangerous that van was. I submitted it to the Arizona Attorney General's Office. Saban also operates under the name Phoenix Car Rental, but it is business as usual, with the old dangerous clunkers, altered odometers, blacked out warning lamps, bald tires, worn out suspension, worn out steering, hidden charges, threats and intimidation.
