  • Free sake with the beer is a really nice touch but the crunchy roll was the hit. I ordered Special B which was a California roll, Crunchy roll and miso soup. Miso soup was the same as every other sushi place so don't expect an amazing mind blowing miso experience. The California roll was also similar to what you get anywhere else but the nori (seaweed) was a little more chewy than my experiences but nonetheless it was tasty. The right amount of soy sauce and Sriracha will make anything taste good though...well, almost anything. The crunchy roll was the star. A nice balance of sweet and crunchy and just plain tasty. Well done Itamae-San Johnny! The preparation was clean and intended for presentation versus thrown on a plate for consumption. Thanks! What else? Small, quiet, strip mall with no TV (other than the looping HD fish tank) and you can't see the fish when you sit at the 'bar'. Attentive staff, good prices and worth the visit.
