I think the wave pool, lazy river and regular pool are all 5 stars for the most part. I don't like that the lifeguards secure the wave pool and won't let you stand where you want. The blue line is WAY too far in. I am pregnant and wanted to be with my son in the wave pool without being neck high in water but that's not an option in the wave pool. It's also very crowded, and with the impact from the waves I was scared someone might kick me or crash into me, so that was a no-go this time.
The lazy river is overrun by unruly, unsupervised brats and the lifeguards don't tell the children not to bulldoze normal people trying to float their way around the thing! I also noticed several pieces of trash and leaves and misc stuff in the lazy river that I have never seen on previous visits.
The beach chair situation is a bit absurd, even for Vegas, but this review won't change a thing so what can we do?!? No umbrellas, unless you pay a pretty penny for the VIP area and I think that's unethical for the price of these rooms and resort fee, they should have umbrellas out when they know it's 110* in the summer and people are dying. You buy a chair for $50 and the umbrella is another $75 or $100 for the day. Absolute robbery of the people. Minus one star for this abuse.
The beach cafe where you get sit down service absolutely sucks. Waitress was so weird and unfriendly and ugly. An older white lady with blonde hair and a terrible attitude. Food was awful. Overpriced for sure...but it tasted terrible, too! $14 grilled cheese was so greasy and cheesy and yucky. Kid wouldn't even eat more than the first bite. $16 buffalo chicken wrap was more tomato than anything else and the chicken was hard and tasted old. Not freshly fried and hot goodness. Ugh. $16 cheeseburger was just a lousy stinkin' cheeseburger. Best part of the meal is sadly the French fries-at least they were not greasy and fresh. $66 and hated it all! Boooo lucky I am only minusing one star for this expensive nasty mess!
