  • I hired Intrinity Landscaping to plant sod in my backyard. They were very responsive when it came to providing me an estimate and collecting their money, but we encountered many issues with the installation. 1) They said that they needed to kill off the grass about a week prior to the install. They told me on a Tuesday that the sod would be installed that Friday. I asked them about killing off the existing lawn and they said that they would do it on Wednesday, just 2 days prior to installing the Sod. I have doubts that they ever even tried to kill of the existing lawn as I didn't see any evidence of that being done, no wilted grass, no dead weeks, and today and can see the cool season grasses and weeds coming up from between the sod 2) The crew broke my sewage cleanout pipe when they were removing the old grass on the day of the install. The crew tried to cover it up by replacing the pieces neatly on the pipe. This would have been an easy fix on the day of the install, but they chose to try to cover up the mistake. I called the owner about the broken pipe and he promised that they would be out within a week to fix it. A month later and tons of e-mails and phone calls and my pipe is still broken. I had it fixed myself today. 3) The guy who provided me the quote for the job told me that they would provide step by step instructions on how to care for the lawn throughout the year. I asked about this guide on the day of the install and the manager told me that he would e-mail it to me when he got back to the office. A month later and I still do not have this guide, even after numerous calls and e-mails to the company about it. They didn't even provide watering instructions for my new lawn and it took me a week to get them to call me back about how often to water it. 3) The crew covered up both of my gutter outlets. I caught one of them on the day of the install and they fixed it, but the second one I didn't notice until a week later. I didn't want to dig up my new lawn to fix this, so I just placed a downspout splash at the bottom of the downspout. This is not nearly as nice as the underground pipe that I had before to divert water away from the house. I would discourage anyone from using this company for their landscaping needs!
