  • Almost $600 for a 3 night stay! I called numerous times and received confirmation that my pets staying in their transport cages would be charged only one $25 fee - and my reservation charge made weeks prior was for $50 to $60 per night. When I arrived, my spouse got key to a 3rd room floor- which is not usually where they put pet rooms, so I walked back in and reiterated to clerk that I was the one that was attending fair in town, got prior authorization on phone to have rabbits in room, and that pet rooms are usually on first floor. I was then given key to a pet room on first floor. Again, they confirmed only 1 charge for pet fee regardless since rabbits stay in cages and they agreed. We were told to put 'do not disturb' tag on door- which upon entering room, it was already open as though someone else was staying there. In the morning after eating their breakfast, I couldn't get back in room and a new key was made. While attending area, we noticed they charged us over $300 right away. Not once did they clean our room during our 3 night stay. Before checking out we noticed note in room from Latayna (identified as housekeeping manager)that they do not clean up after people that have pets and reason room was not cleaned. No biggie - what were you in our room for anyway since office told us to put 'do not disturb on door. Regardless, no rabbits were in room as they were at the fair already. I got a broom and swept up the grass hay remnant that fell out of rabbit cage in about five minutes, and then requested housekeeping to come see our room, and not sure why they wrote note. If they were in room, they could have easily swept. Latayna agreed room looked just fine after I swept and apologized. I also had the grass remnants in my hand that I swept up off floor - and I stated it felt like we were getting punished for asking to check out- which Latawyna and hotel clerk stated we would be charged anyway that night, whether we stayed or not. While deciding what to do, my spouse checked our account and noticed extra charges that accumulated to about $175. We went back to office and asked Latawyna (identified as housekeeping manager) and Chrystalyn (hotel clerk)the reason for the charges and they stated it was for a cleaning fee, which is so bizzare since they wrote note that they could / would not clean room. They would not give that note back, however, my smart spouse took pic of it on his phone. In addition, if they were charging me for extra night, why charge me cleaning fee on day before a checkout, especially since they didn't clean anything. Latayna and Christalyn agreed with me that it didnt make sense I got charged, their hands were tied, thst manager charged it - but also in same conversation they claimed no manager was available for me to speak with - and one wouldn't be available for two days. I asked for their names. They would not give full names so I have what was on their name tags they wore. While trying to solve this with who I made reservation through and Comfort Inn corporate - and being on hold while they spoke to the hotel, the hotel clerk and housekeeping manager changed their stories / reasons for charges, as well as their names on who did what, and avoided responsibility when they are the ones that charged our card. If you are attending fair in town, have a pet, or even walk in with snow, grass on boots, you will need to clean it yourself, and might get charged anyway. I spent hours trying to solve this and as of now, charges are still not being lifted. I have video and pictures of how our room looked when we left. It was better than when we arrived. For example, while sweeping in bathroom under sink cabinet, out came bobby pins, dust, dog food, contact lense case, ect - none of it was ours. The two stars are for location and it seemed like a safe place to stay in a snow storm as it is within walking distance to amenities in town. I'm attaching video of what room looked like when we left and they would not remove charges.
