  • What a treat!!! My friend and I were working at her home transitioning her project over to me. We decided to take a lunch and she offered up the Flying Biscuit Cafe. When we walked in, the place was packed. We were the last table to be seated without having to wait (this was at 11:45 a.m. on a Wednesday). The menu was very diverse - a ton of vegetarian options, but of course I went the carnivorous route! I had their oven fried chicken. It came with GRILLED MACARONI!!! I had never had grilled macaroni and fell in love as soon as I tasted it - it is like your grandmother's macaroni recipe she served you on special occasions like Thanksgiving! Instead of collard greens, I substituted with grits. These are the creamiest, silkiest grits I have ever had! I LOVE apple butter, but The Flying Biscuit kicks it up a notch by adding cranberries. This is to die for... Thank you Flying Biscuit for a wonderful culinary experience!
